We help you navigate the complexity of trusts, estates, and other systems in later life with clarity and confidence. Whether you are planning for yourself or serving as a trustee who needs assistance settling an estate, we are here to support you.

We handle the administrative load, organize assets, execute decisions, and proactively manage blind spots. As a licensed California Professional Fiduciary, I'm authorized to serve in the following roles.

Successor Trustee & Financial Power of Attorney

We step in to administer aspects of your financial and estate plan when you need us. Every engagement begins with a comprehensive estate audit to get things organized, followed by annual check-ins to ensure your plan adapts as your life changes.

Successor Trustee Support

Operational support for anyone acting as Successor Trustee. We create a personalized plan and can handle the operational work the work under your direction, from locating assets to property sale through final accounting and closing.

Care-Related Financial Administration

Serving as your Financial Power of Attorney, we handle the financial side of your care—paying care-related bills, monitoring insurance claims and eligibility, and keeping clear records in close coordination with you, your family, or your care manager.

Financial Oversight & Daily Money Management

We help organize accounts, bills, and records, then handle ongoing account management and bill pay once things organized. We will also provide remote oversight and clear reporting for family managing a loved one's affairs from a distance.

About

A fiduciary advocate in your corner

Most people work with an attorney, financial advisor, and medical team who each handle their specialized part without someone holding the whole picture together. Headway Advocates is built on the belief that people navigating later life deserve an organized, professional partner who acts in their interest.

I'm Krista Gettle, a licensed California Professional Fiduciary. I started Headway because I've needed this kind of advocate, as a daughter caring for an aging parent, and someday as a solo ager myself. I learned firsthand what it means to navigate a system nobody teaches you, coordinating specialists, managing paperwork, and making consequential decisions without a roadmap and during one of the most stressful times of life. In my work at Headway, I want to help you understand what decisions matter at different life stages and recognize potential issues while there is time to act, so you live life on your own terms.

Before founding Headway, I spent 20 years managing complex, large-scale operations and initiatives for startups and Fortune 500 companies in highly regulated fields. That experience shapes how I work: organized, direct, and focused on outcomes so you see results quickly.
